1) CREATE A SENSORY EXPERIENCE
The number one way to recreate your favourite spa in your own home is by engaging all your senses. Light a favourite candle or burn incense, play soothing music, wear a beautifully soft bathrobe, dim the lights and sip on refreshing cucumber water. It's these little touches that truly relax you and make all the difference while indulging in some much needed spa treatment in the comfort of your own home.
2) SCRUB AWAY YOUR WORRIES
The simplest yet most effective body scrub can be made with just 2 ingredients from your kitchen. Combine granulated sugar with coconut oil and use this scrub all over your body, paying special attention to heels, elbows and knees. The sugar will slough away dead skin cells while the coconut oil will beautifully moisturise your skin. Castor sugar and coconut oil make for an amazing lip scrub too. Any of the massage oils from our #SpaSeptember boxes can also be used in place of coconut oil to create this scrub.
3) MASK YOUR FACE
A favourite DIY mask is made by combining turmeric, honey and yoghurt. Apply a smooth layer all over your face, rinsing off after 15 minutes. The turmeric is anti-inflammatory, honey is anti-bacterial, and the lactic acid in yoghurt is the most gentle of exfoliators, leaving your complexion clear and glowing
4) GIVE YOUR EYES A TREAT
While you relax with your face mask on, give your eyes an additional treat by slipping on a pair of these amazing lavender filled masks. We love the ones from Kanyoga which were also part of the MSM #SpaSeptember boxes this month!
Do you have any special rituals that make your spa routine an absolute bliss?
We'd love to hear about them!
