5 beauty products that broke the Internet in 2015

If you're anything like us, your pulse quickens at the thought of a new beauty launch.

Thankfully, 2015 was a year of many a heart palpitation. There were beauty launches that thrilled, beauty launches that were long awaited and beauty launches that literally changed the world we live in.

We put together a list of the top 5 beauty launches in 2015 that stole hearts, wallets and life savings for a lot of us this year.


MAC Cinderella Collection

A new MAC collection is always cause for celebration. MAC kick started the year with Viva Glam Miley in January, MAC Toledos in February and followed it up with the MAC Cinderella collection in March. The brand's princess themed collection sold out almost immediately, and then went up on Ebay for four times the price. We have to say, the buzz was totally worth it - right from the packaging to the pigments.


Naked Vault

f you're looking to suddenly have a whole lot of new friends (who insist you do their make-up for them) all you really need is a Urban Decay Naked Palette. What happens when you have all four Naked palettes, plus Naked basics and the Naked2 Basics? Don't even ask. Urban Decay released a naked vault which retailed at approximately Rs 11,000 and sold out almost immediately. Much to heaps of disappointment, there hasn't been a restocking.




Christian Louboutin Lipsticks

When Christian Louboutin released pictures of his new line of lipstick, people across the world were blown over. Coming with a Rs 5,500 price tag, this lipstick got EVERYONE talking. Vogue described it as “Amazing is an understatement: Resembling a delicate vial Queen Nefertiti might have treasured, this tube-meets-objet d’art takes inspiration from Babylonian antiquities with a turret-like crown cap and pointed gold base.”

A glimpse at the packaging and you will know what they mean.

Benefit Cosmetics It's Real Push-Up Liner

Talk about much awaited and you'll know that we're referring to one of the products that kept most of us in India glued to Benefit Cosmetic's Instagram page. The push-up liner launched in India to rave reviews and needless to say, still has bouts of being out of stock in Sephora stores in India.

Lip Kit by Kylie

If a large majority of the girl population is obsessed with your pout, the obvious next step would be to cash in on the cause. Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner sister clan, launched three matte lip kits featuring a matte lip pencil and a lip cream. Needless to say, the collection sold out within hours. It was restocked only to be sold out within a few hours once again. No news on when the lip kits will be restocked once again.
