A quick disclaimer before we begin - this list has been compiled after much testing and trying by our beauty squad. This is of course not a general consensus. Something that we deemed unworthy of being a must-have may actually be something you love and use regularly!
So without any further ado, here are the beauty products we feel you should immediately transfer from your shopping lists to your black list!
BB CREAM FOR HAIR AND HANDS:
The newest batch of BB creams are designed for the hair and hands, and it’s safe to say neither are especially essential. There’s a certain novelty to items like these that wears thin fast - especially when you realize that they’re little more than enhanced conditioners and hand lotions.
This doesn’t rank up there with products you absolutely need in order to have pretty feet. Other tools, like exfoliating pumice stones and deeply hydrating moisturizers, are much more effective, while a mask is more like a spa treatment that’s nice to have - but not really needed.
Instead of these, you could always try LuxaDerme’s Foot Peeling & Exfoliating Mask.
DETOX PRODUCTSSkin detox products are just the most overrated products ever. Everyone knows the most effective way to detox your skin is by detoxing internally. Skip these products and opt for creams that have that contain stem cells and honey, which are good for skin renewal and have anti-ageing benefits.
STRETCH MARK CREAMS:
Being able to fix all your stretch mark woes with a cream seems too good to be true, and it turns out it is. As stretch marks remodel and mature, they become less noticeable and lose this coloration. The best approach to newer stretch marks is to wait for them to improve with time and apply a quality moisturizer.
Grooming unruly eyebrows isn’t questionable at all, but using a product specifically for brows isn’t necessary. Of course, women with sparse brows can certainly benefit from a product which adds natural colour while providing hold.
BODY FIRMING PRODUCTS
You know those dimply, giggle-prone places on your body that like 99.9 percent of all women have? There are currently no products on the market that alone can make those places firmer and less cellulite prone. Sorry to break it to you, but we have to reiterate that eating a heathy diet and working out regularly is still the only natural way to get a firmer bod.
