Celebration: An action you can take at any point in life.
Something that everyone loves to be drowned in.
But "genuine" celebration doesn't come easy.
When one feels like they have accomplished something, something to be proud of, that feeling exactly is celebration.
On 15th August 1947, India was celebrating like never before.
On that day we had accomplished something, and what better way to have done that than by working together?
India's independence was such an amazing achievement that it is celebrated till date.
People look back on an event that happened several years ago and still beam with pride.
On a full moon day, in the month of Shravan a festival is celebrated to symbolize the bond between brother and sister. A "rakhi' is basically a sacred thread of protection that is tied by the sister on to the brothers wrist. Although some may believe that this is a day for brothers and sisters to bond, a day when relations are even more closely tied, we fail to realise that whether or not we tie this "frail" thread every year, a sister/brother will still do everything in their power to "protect" one another.
In reality, we don't really need an event to be proud of or even a festival to celebrate.. everyday is a celebration.
When YOU are happy, you make the people around you feel happy... if you ask me that's enough of a reason to celebrate.
