Holiday season has officially begun and lots of us are going to our favourite locales for a much needed break.
Whether you're jet-setting to a tropical island, catching a train to your grandma's or even road tripping across the country, we bring you seven travel tips that'll ensure you're not only well prepared for the journey but also look fabulous during it!
- Plan your outfits in advance
As boring as this sounds, this is one of the most important thing you have to do!
Planning your outfits in advance ensures you look fabulous everyday with matching accessories and saves you a ton of space that you may otherwise fill up with things you don't really need.
Take your clothes out, make a list of the days and events you're packing for and assign clothes.
A great idea is to get zip lock bags, make entire outfits (with accessories, shoes, et al), and label them with dates. This will ensure you don't spend precious vacation time figuring out what you're wearing when.
- Start fresh
All of us know that a good night's sleep can work wonders for your body. Make sure you sleep early the night before your travel commences.
Stick as much as possible to your normal morning routine even if the timing is off.
Don't leave things to the last minute and don't leave home in a rush.
- Carry travel size beauty products
If you're travelling via air, you know there will be weight restrictions.
Be a good passenger and carry only as much as you need.
All those goodies from your MSM Boxes make for the perfect travel accompaniments!
- Carry a hand sanitiser
We're germ freaks, especially while travelling. Carry a small hand sanitiser in your tote bag to make sure your hands are clean for all that snacking in the car or train. Turning up sick to a destination or (heaven forbid) falling sick while travelling is the absolute worst.
- Comfortable shoes
Ballet flats are a lifesaver during holidays.
Not only do they look cute and come in lots of options, they ensure you get the most out of your holidays without having to wobble through it.
Make sure your ballet flats have thick soles for all that walking you're about to do.
If not get gel cushions from your local chemist store.
- Keep your make up simple
It's best to use a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation when you're travelling.
This ensures your skin stays hydrated without really blocking your pores.
Top it off with a cream blush and a tinted lip balm. We love Natio's tinted lip balm cause it is unbelievably hydrating.
- Stay away from Pajama Pants
Yes, we understand the urge to wear pajama pants while travelling but please - resist!
As much as we love them, wearing them out while travelling makes you look down right sloppy.
There are lots more equally comfortable options that you can tap in to - think cotton maxi skirts, worn-in denims or just a pair of cotton trousers with a vest!
We love Amal Clooney's stylish yet comfortable travel look.
- Choose fun jewellery over the real deal
Not only do they look so much better with holiday gear, you won't fret half as much if you were to loose a few pieces while having a blast on your vacay.
Leave those precious rings and necklaces in a locker and party away with no stress!
Find the perfect holiday necklace this June in your MSM Boxes.
And there you have it gorgeous, pack those bags and run along on your very own adventure. xx
